Our daughter had a blast at the the Silverton Aquarium. Directly across from this aquarium in front of the Bass Pro Shop is another fresh water aquarium.
We came across this aquarium by chance while looking for a quick bite to eat. We ended up spending quite a bit of time there and stopped to view the fish during feeding time.
If you are in Las Vegas and have some time to spare or are in the neighborhood, we recommend that you stop by with the kids to check it out.

See all 6 questions. The filtration system must have been huge for this setup, and it was completely hidden. With mirrors everywhere, the already huge display looked even more impressive.
I must say, this was probably the most innovative goldfish display I have ever seen, or will probably ever see in the future.
Large does not describe this tank, it is huge! I went the entire registration desk length, over 30 feet long.
There were many typical marine fish seen in this setup, including angelfish, butterflyfish, tangs, triggerfish and many more.
We just stood and watched this tank for a long time. The only thing about this tank was that it was behind the registration desk, so you could not get up close to it, but it was so big it was probably better to view it from that distance anyways.
This seemed to be favorite place for photographers to gather, as every time and I have been over to see that tank on at least every trip, sometime several times in a trip we were there, there were many with cameras there too.
The Flamingo is an older casino, but out back they have a great koi and bird garden. It is a wonderful tropical setting with the Koi and of course they have flamingos, ducks, geese and other birds.
It is amazing the beautiful green grass and water, all in the middle of a dessert! On my third trip, I stayed at Mandalay Bay Casino which has a great pool area and beach.
Yes a beach, with sand and waves! At check-in there is a large impressive marine aquarium, but they also has the Shark Reef Encounter.
I never did get a chance to go to the Shark Reef, of course this is the only attraction that I have mentioned that is not free.
